Flat Boat Rides
“Plätten” are flat wooden boats, which served to ship salt during the Middle Ages. Plättenfahrten can be booked at the Tourist Information Centre. Raitenhaslach has always been a stop for the “Plätten” boats.
Relaxation and cozy conviviality - a Plättenfahrt is always an event. Special highlights are the musical “Plätten”, for example, with jazz brunch or Bavarian "Danzlmusik". They are available on request or on selected dates and are offered in addition to the public “Plätten”.
The “Plätten” -rides are starting with the “Plättenbus” (coach) in Burghausen, which brings the passengers to Tittmoning for setting down. From there it is a comfortable ride with the “Plätte” boat to Burghausen.
Information at the tourist board of Burghausen.
During the summer months on Sunday afternoon at 16.00 clock, Plättenfahrten take place from Raitenhaslach to Burghausen (short “Plätten”). Fare: € 6 per person.
